Troubleshooting with ArcServe for NetWare

ArcServe for Novell NetWare records useful information in these logs:

Activity Log

This reports whether or not a backup has been

(ARCH$SVR.LOG)

performed successfully.

 

 

 

Tape Server Log

This contains SCSI sense code information.

(TAPE$SVR.LOG)

 

 

 

Follow this procedure to view information in the Activity Log and the Tape Server Log:

1.Select Manager from the menu bar; select Reports.

2.Select Activity Log.

3.Review the Activity Log for any errors: these will typically be in red.

4.Record the date and time the errors occurred.

5.Select the Tape Server Log.

6.Review the Tape Server Log at the times that the errors occurred to obtain more information.
