Removing & Installing Wheel & Hub

The procedure in this section describes how to install or swap one or more pre-balanced grinding wheel and hub assemblies. Having a selection of pre-balanced grinding wheel and hub assemblies on the shelf ready to go increases productivity if different grinding wheel profiles must be use during a grinding project.

To remove and reinstall the wheel and hub:

1.DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!

2.Place a sheet of plywood on top of table to protect it, as shown in Figure 28, and open the grinding wheel cover.

4.Loosen the barrel nut in the direction shown in Figure 30.

5.Remove the barrel nut (see Figure 31).

3.Position the spindle wrenches on the spindle lug and the barrel nut (see Figure 29).

6.Oil the threads and thread the hub puller (see Figure 32) into the hub until it stops.
