	Bottom Components
Component	Description

1 Battery bay	Holds the primary battery.

2 Modem slot cover	Covers the modem compartment.

3 Modem agency	Lists the countries in which the modem has
approvals label	been approved for use. You may need this
(internal modem	information to use the modem while
models only)	traveling.

4 MultiBay notch	Helps you remove a drive or battery pack
	from the MultiBay.

5 MultiBay release	Releases a removable drive or battery pack
latch	from the MultiBay.

6 Serial number label	Identifies the computer; needed when you
	call Compaq customer support.

7 Fan	Provides airflow to cool internal components.

8 Certificate of	Contains your Product Key number, which
Authenticity label	you may need to set up, update, or
	troubleshoot your operating system.
