After you have physically installed the digital sender, you only need to configure a few parameters to begin using it. After you have configured these parameters, you will be able to:

●send e-mail messages

●use e-mail addresses located on an LDAP server of your choosing

●send faxes (requires information provided by i-fax vendor)

●send documents to HPJetSend-enabled printers on your network

●discover the digital sender over the network with HP Web JetAdmin

Once you have established the digital sender on the network and enabled basic functionality, you can extend functionality for the services you wish to implement. You can also configure optional parameters for the services you have already set up.

In general, the extended and optional features consist of the following:

●security preferences

●DNS and WINS name resolution
