CONVENIENT FUNCTIONS FOR RECORDING

When the record-pause mode has con- tinued for about 10 minutes, the record- pause mode stops. To enter the record- pause mode, press the RECORD button(s).

• To pause recording

Press the pause ( ) button t o p a u s e r e c o r d i n g temporarily.

To restart recording, press the play ( ) or pause ( ) button.

You can create 4-second or longer silent passages by pressing the REC MUTE button. The unit is set to the record-pause mode when the button is released.

The REC MUTE button can be used during recording or when going from recording to record- pause mode. The REC MUTE button cannot be used when the record-pause mode is activated from the stop mode.

• Creating a blank

Press the REC MUTE button during recording.

The REC indicator blinks and a blank is recorded. The unit automatically enters record-pause mode in about 4 seconds.

To restart recording, press the play ( ) or pause ( ) button.

To end recording, press the stop ( ) button.

To end recording, press the stop ( ) button.

• Starting recording with fade-in

Press the FADER button in record-pause mode.

Recording starts by gradually increasing the recording level. The FADER indicator blinks in this period.

Fade time can be set using the MENU button functions (See page 24).

Stopping recording with fade-out

Press the FADER button in record mode.

Recording stops by gradually decreasing the recording level. The FADER indicator blinks in this period. Recording stops in Fade-time after the button is pressed. The unit enters the record- pause mode.
