Each of the and buttons of the main unit provides two functions, as a track search button and manual search button.

Searching an adjacent track (Track search)

A desired track can be searched by specifying it using the track search buttons.

During programmed playback, only the current track being played can be searched in the forward or reverse direction. When the current track has been searched in the forward direction until the end, the unit enters pause mode at the position immediately before the next track; press the play

( ), pause ( ) or button to release the pause mode. When the current track has been searched in the reverse direction until the beginning, programmed playback restarts from the position immediately before returning to the previous track.

Pressing (or ) during playback or when playback is paused or stopped skips the played position to the beginning of the next track. To skip to a track located

after the next track, press (or ) for the required number of times. When

programmed playback is activated, pressing (or ) skips to the next track in the program.

Pressing and holding (or ) during playback or when playback is paused moves the played position in the forward direction at a high speed. When a disc has been searched until the end, "END" is displayed and the unit enters the pause mode,

which can be released by pressing (or ).

Pressing and holding (or ) moves the played position in the reverse direction at a high speed. When a disc has been searched in the reverse direction until the beginning, the unit enters play mode.
