B. Clearing skip ID of a track

With a CD-R or CD-RW disc which does not contain skip IDs, the SKIP ON indicator will not light even when the SKIP PLAY button is pressed.

If skip IDs have already been set, the SKIP indicator lights on the display.

1 Press the SKIP PLAY button to turn the SKIP ON indicator off.

2 Play the track which is not to be skipped.

Select it with the numeric but- tons of the remote control unit or a track search button .

) is pressed while "SKIP" and

"CLEAR?" are displayed, tracks to which the skip IDs are set will be played in order of track numbers.

The selected tracks play back repeatedly.

If you press the SKIP ID CLEAR button during playback of a track without a skip ID, the unit searches for the next track with a skip ID (or it returns to the beginning if there is no next track) and starts playback.

To cancel the clearing mode, press the play ( ) button or SKIP ID SET button.

When the button is pressed to remove the disc, the skip ID clear data is recorded on the disc. At this time, and blinks "OPEN" is displayed for a few seconds, and the tray opens after the skip ID clear data has been recorded.

3 During playback of the track which is not to be skipped, press the SKIP ID CLEAR button.

"SKIP" and "CLEAR?" are displayed alternately.

4 To clear the skip ID, press the SKIP ID CLEAR button again.

5 Skip IDs can be cleared from other tracks by repeating steps 2 to 4 for each of them.

6 After having cleared the required skip IDs, press the OPEN/CLOSE button.
