Blind Hem Stitching

Pattern

12 (Stretch Blind Stitch)

The Stretch Blind Stitch is used to finish the edge of projects made with stretch fabrics without the stitch showing.

1.Set the pattern selection dial to 12.

2.Both the threads should be the same color as the fabric.

3.Fold back the fabric to the desired location of the hem as shown in fig. A. Then, fold the edge of the fabric as in fig. B. Leave a 6 mm (1/4") overlap at the edge.

4.Sew on the fold as in fig. C.

5.When the fabric is unfolded you will have a Stretch Blind Stitch hem as shown in fig. D.

Point élastique invisible

12 (Point élastique invisible)

Le point élastique invisible sert à terminer le bord d’ouvrages réa- lisés sur des tissus élastiques (extensibles) sans que les points n’ap- paraissent.

1.Mettre le sélecteur de modèle de point sur 12.

2.Les deux fils utilisés doivent être de la même couleur que le tissu à coudre.

3.Plier le tissu à la taille souhaitée pour l’ourlet, (comme le mon- tre la fig. A) puis replier le bord en faisant chevaucher de 6 mm (voir fig. B.)

4.Coudre sur le repli (comme le montre la fig.C.).

5.Lorsque le tissu est déplié, on obtient un ourlet extensible invi- sible, tel qu’indiqué dans la fig.D.

Puntadas invisibles

12 (Puntada invisible elástica)

La puntada invisible elástica se usa para terminar la orilla de una prenda realizada en un tejido elástico, sin que se vean las puntadas.

1.Ponga el selector de puntadas en 12.

2.Ambos hilos deben ser del mismo color que el tejido.

3.Doble el tejido según la orilla que desee hacer tal como ilustra la fig. A. Luego, déle la vuelta tal como indica la fig. B. Deje unos 6 mm (1/4") sin coser para esconderlos.

4.Cosa en el pliegue tal como muestra la fig. C.

5.Al desdoblar el tejido, tendrá un dobladillo con puntada invisible elástica tal como lo muestra la fig. D.

Embainhar com ponto invisível elástico

O Ponto invisível elástico utiliza-se para fazer bainhas em trabalhos efetuados com tecidos elastico, sem que o ponto fique à vista.

1.Coloque o seletor de pontos em 12.

2.Ambas as linhas devem ser da mesma cor do tecido.

3.Dobre o tecido até ao local de bainha pretendido, como mostra a fig. A. Em seguida, dobre a borda do tecido para trás da forma indicada na fig. B, deixando um trespasse de 6 mm na borda.

4.Costure nesta dobra, da forma indicada na fig. C.

5.Depois do tecido desdobrado, terá uma bainha feita com ponto invi- sível elástico, como mostra a fig. D.
