Operation

Before each use

^When using a perforated cooking container, push the condensate tray onto the lowest shelf runner to catch any drips.

^Fill the water container.

You do not need to remove the insert.

Only use mains tap water. Never use distilled or mineral water.

The water level must be between the two markings (min. 0.75 l and max.

1.2l). These are located inside and outside the container. On no account exceed the upper or maximum level marker. The amount of water required will vary depending on what you are cooking.

The maximum quantity of 1.2 litres of water is sufficient to run the Cook Universal 100 °C programme for approx. 2 hours, providing the door is not opened. The water level in the water container is represented by a symbol in the display.

Using hot water will shorten the heating-up time.

^Always use both hands when carrying the water container, and push it into the appliance until it connects. Take care not to let any water spill out.

Pre-heat

The steam oven can be set so that it pre-heats to approx. 40°C. To use this function, you will need to alter the default setting in the Settings menu (see "Settings - Pre-heat").

When the pre-heat function has been activated, the main menu will appear after the appliance is switched on. If no steam oven function is selected within a few seconds, the pre-heat process will begin.

Selecting a steam oven function

^Place the food in the oven.

^Switch the appliance on if you have not preheated it.

The main menu will appear.

^Select the function you want (e.g. Cook vegetables).
