CAUTION:

Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned off. The glass surface may still be hot and burns may occur if the glass surface is touched before it has cooled sufficiently.

Do not place plastic items such as salt and pepper shakers, spoon holders or plastic wrappings on top of the range when it is in use. These items could melt or ignite. Potholders, towels or wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too close to the surface elements.

Do not allow aluminum foil, or ANY material that can melt to make contact with the ceramic glass cooktop. If these items melt on the cooktop, they will damage the ceramic cooktop.

Dual radiant surface elements (some models)

Symbols on the backguard are used to indicate which coil

of the dual radiant element will heat. The

symbol

indicates the inner coil only. The symbol indicates both inner and outer coils will heat.

To operate a dual radiant element:

1.Place correctly sized cookware on dual radiant surface element.

2.Push in and turn the surface control knob clockwise to begin heating both the inner and outer portions of the dual element. If only the inner heating portion is needed like for smaller cookware, push in and turn the knob counter-clockwise to start.

3.When cooking is complete, turn the dual radiant surface element OFF before removing the cookware.

Start most cooking operations on a higher setting and then turn to a lower setting to finish cooking. The surface control knobs do not have to be set exactly on a particular mark.

Use the marks as a guide and adjust the control knob as needed. A glowing red surface heating area extending beyond the bottom edge of the cookware indicates the cookware is too small for the surface heating area.

You may switch from either element setting at any time during cooking. See Suggested radiant surface element settings table on previous page.

Keep warm (some models)

The purpose of the keep warm zone is to keep hot cooked foods at serving temperature. Use the keep warm feature to keep cooked foods hot such as; vegetables, gravies, casseroles, soups, stews, breads, pastries and oven-safe dinner plates.

Always start with hot food. It is not recommended to heat cold food on the keep warm zone. All food placed on the warming zone should be covered with a lid to maintain quality.

For best results, when warming pastries or breads, the cover should have an opening to allow moisture to escape.

Do not use plastic wrap to cover food. Plastic may melt onto the surface and be very difficult to clean. Use only dishware, utensils and cookware recommended for oven and cooktop use on the keep warm zone.

Setting the keep warm control

1.Push in either direction and turn the knob. The temperatures are approximate, and are designated by HI and LO. However, the control can be set at any position between HI and LO for different levels of warming.

2.When ready to serve, turn the control to OFF. The keep warm zone will remain warm until the indicator light

HES3023U specifications

The Bosch Appliances HES3023U is a standout induction cooktop that perfectly marries sleek design with state-of-the-art cooking technology. This 30-inch electric cooktop boasts a variety of features and functionalities that cater to the needs of modern home chefs, ensuring precision, efficiency, and convenience in their culinary pursuits.

One of the most notable features of the HES3023U is its induction cooking technology. Unlike traditional gas or electric cooktops that rely on direct heat, induction cooktops utilize electromagnetic fields to directly heat pots and pans. This not only allows for faster cooking times but also ensures that the cooktop surface remains cooler to the touch, minimizing the risk of burns. The cooktop heats the cookware itself, leading to greater energy efficiency and reducing cooking energy waste.

The HES3023U comes equipped with four cooking zones, each featuring an adjustable heating element that provides versatility for various pot sizes. With up to 3,700 watts of power available on the largest zone, this cooktop can handle everything from gentle simmering to vigorous boiling. Moreover, the Power Boost feature enhances the heating capacity for a short time, making tasks such as boiling water much quicker.

Designed with the home cook in mind, the Bosch HES3023U includes a range of user-friendly features, such as touch control technology that provides a sleek and seamless interface for adjusting settings. The timer function allows for precise cooking times, and the heat indicator keeps users informed about the temperature of the zones, enhancing safety in the kitchen.

For added convenience, the cooktop incorporates a lock feature, which prevents accidental adjustments, especially in households with children. The automatic shut-off feature adds another layer of safety by turning off the cooktop when it senses inactivity, ensuring peace of mind while cooking.

Aesthetically, the Bosch HES3023U is designed to complement contemporary kitchen spaces. Its sleek black glass surface not only looks elegant but is also easy to clean, making maintenance a breeze. The flush installation further enhances its modern appeal, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into the kitchen countertop.

In summary, the Bosch Appliances HES3023U induction cooktop represents a fusion of technology and design, providing an unparalleled cooking experience with powerful features, innovative safety measures, and an elegant appearance that fits perfectly in any modern kitchen.
