dbschema: Output SQL Statements
dbschema: Output SQL StatementsUsethe dbschema utility to display the SQL statements required to replicate
a database or a specific table, view, or procedure. Options enable you to
perform the following activities:
■Display CREATESYNONYM statements, by owner, for a database or
for a specific table.
■Displayall GRANT privilege statements that affect a specified user or
that affect all users for a database or for a specific table.
■Save the output to a file.
Youmust be the DBA or have Connect or Resource privilege to the database
before you can rundbschema on it.
You can display the software version number by executing dbschema -V.
Syntax
If you do not supply afilename,dbschema sends output to the screen.
Youcan use the OnLine syntax database@dbservername to specify the database.
Specifying a database server name allows you to choose a database on
another server as your current database if you have installedIBM Informix
STAR.
