SPINCNT Conﬁguration Parameter

The number of times that a user process spins and tests is speciﬁed by the

conﬁguration parameter SPINCNT. The default value is 300. If you increase

the value ofSPINCNT, you increase the period that the user process remains

in theCPU . If you decrease the value, you reduce the period.

Youcannot directly affect the amount of time that the process spins between

tries.
