In This Chapter
This chapter serves as a reference for theDB-Monitor screens. You can use it
to quickly determine the purpose and use of a specific screen or option.
To start the monitor, executetbmonitor from the command line. If you are
logged in as userinformix, the main menu appears. All users other than
informix have access only to the Status menu.
Allmenus and screens function in the same way. For menus, use arrow keys
or theSPACEBAR to scroll to the option you want to execute and press
RETURN,or you can press the first letter of the option. When you move from
oneoption to the next by pressing the SPACEBAR or an arrow key,the option
explanation (line 2 of the menu) changes.
If you want general instructions for a specific screen, pressCTRL-W. If you
needhelp to determine what you should enter in a field on the screen, move
the highlight to the field (by using the Tab key) and pressCTRL-F or F2.
Someof the menus, including the main menu, are ring menus. Ring menus are
indicated with three dots (...) on the far right or left side. The dots indicate
thatyou can continue to move in the direction of the dots with the arrow keys
or theSPACEBAR to view other options.
