Change OnLine Mode

-k Option

The-k option is equivalent to the DB-Monitor Take-Offline option. Use the -k
option to take OnLine offline to reinitialize shared memory. Refer to
page 3-12 for more details about what happens when you execute this
command.

-m Option

The -m option is equivalent to theDB-M onitor On-Line option. It takes
OnLine from quiescent to online mode. Refer topage 3-9 for more details
about what happens when you execute this command.
-k removes OnLine shared memory and takes OnLine to offline
mode.
-m takes OnLine from quiescent to online mode.
-s restricts new access to OnLine but current processing can
finish. When all processing is finished,-s takes OnLine to
quiescent mode.
-u endscurrent processing and takes OnLine to quiescent mode.
The -u option leaves shared memory intact.
