Configuring the Segment Switch All PS Hub 50 units have a segment switch. If y ou have multiple
PS Hub50 units in a stack, only one of the units has its segment switch
enabled, called the active segment switch. You can use Quick Config
Manager to connect or isolate the stack’s active segment switch from
the cascaded segments. For information on the PS Hub 50 unit’s
segment switch, refer to “Segment Switch” on pag e 2-2.
This functionality in Quick Config Manager is not available if there is
not a PS Hub 50 in the stack.
To configure the segment switch:
1Do one of the following:
■Double-click on the graphical representation of the stack (but not on
a port).
■From the Configure menu, select General Info.
2In the General Info dialog box, select the Switch Conf category.
Quick Config Manager displays the Switch Configuration panel, as
shown in Figure B-7.

3Use the checkboxes to connect or isolate the segment switch from the
cascaded segments, as required.
4Click OK.
