5Re-enable the path using:

SETDefault !<path> -PATH CONTrol = Enabled

Configuring Serial This section describes how to configure the serial ports with modems,

Ports with DCEs CSU/DSUs, or ISDN TAs attached.

Before beginning this procedure, complete the following tasks:

Cable the serial port and connect it to the telephone network.

Log on to the system with Network Manager privilege.

The serial port automatically detects the following settings:

Line type dial-up or leased

Clock — external

Connector type RS-232, V.35, X.21, RS-449, or RS-530

ISDN TAs If you are attaching an ISDN TA, you must configure the TA with the SPIDs, switch type, local telephone numbers, and Multilink PPP options
