Tools you need to complete this task:

Flat-blade driver - OR - Scribe or non-marring tool

Phillips #0 screwdriver

Screws removed during this task:

2 black M2.5×5 (Keyboard cover)

6 black M2.5×5 (LCD front panel)

4 chrome M2×3 (Hinge bracket)

2 black M2.5×6.5 (Hinge-bottom)

1 black M2.5×5 (Grounding screw)

4 black M2.5×6.5 (Hinge-top)

8 black M2.5×5 (LCD panel to LCD panel lid)

To replace the LCD panel hinges:

1Complete the steps in “Preparing the notebook” on page 55.

2Remove the LCD panel assembly by following the steps in “Replacing the LCD assembly” on page 84.

3Remove the LCD panel by following the steps in “Replacing the LCD panel” on page 89.

4Remove the screws that secure the hinge bracket to the LCD panel.

5Place the new hinge bracket onto the LCD panel.
