Now you’ll rearrange some text.

9.Move the I-beam pointer to the immediate left of the word “they” (after “conscience,”).

10.Drag horizontally, selecting the word “they”, and then release the trackball button.

11.With “they” selected, choose Cut from the Edit menu.

Choosing Cut removes the selected material from the document and stores it in a temporary file called the Clipboard.

12.Move the I-beam pointer to the immediate left of the word “Endowed”.

13.Click to place the insertion point.

14.Choose Paste from the Edit menu.

When you choose Paste, your computer takes whatever’s in the Clipboard and puts it into the document at the location of the insertion point.
