Print Line Adjustment
Print Line Adjustments allow you to align the printing of each of the four print stations to obtain accurate color registration in the media travel direction. These adjustments are made for print stations 1, 2, and 3 using print station 4 as a stationary reference. As such, there is no print line adjustment available for print station 4. Print line adjustments are used to compensate for minor variations in printhead or media positions, and may be needed when media is changed or a printhead is replaced.

To print a block test pattern:
1Select the slowest print speed for the adjustment process to conserve media and ribbon.
2Press the PRINT/PAUSE key until the printer is in the Pause state.
3Press the NEXT or PREVIOUS key until the Test Print menu is displayed.

Proc. Block Pattern (CMYK) *
4Press the + or - key until the appropriate block pattern is displayed. Select from one of the following patterns:
•Proc. Block Pattern (CMYK) - for normal process color printing
•Proc. Block Pattern (KCMY) - for process color printing with black ribbon installed on print station #1
•Block Pattern (All) - for spot color printing
5Press the SELECT key. An asterisk (*) appears to confirm your choice.
6Press the SELECT key again. The printer will immediately begin to print labels showing the block test pattern.
