Delete User (CMD + 5 + 3)

D1265 Owner's Manual Part III: Advanced Commands

Delete User (CMD + 5 + 3)

This function allows a user to be deleted.

This function deletes the passcode, Master access card/token and all sub- user access cards/tokens associated with the user number.

1.Ensure your keypad shows idle disarmed text.

2.Press the CMD button. The display shows *System Command*.

3.Press the 5 button and then the 3 button.

If you prefer, you might use the function list in place of Steps 2 and 3 to initiate this function.

Press the Menu button to enter the function list.

Press the Next button repeatedly.

When you reach the Delete User button, press it.

4.The display changes to show Enter user # to be deleted.

Enter the user number, not the passcode. (123 is as an example.)

Press the ENTER button.

5.If the user number entered is a valid user in the system, the display shows Delete User 3? Are you sure?

If the user number entered is not a valid user in the system, the display shows This user is currently not in use.

6.Press the Yes button to delete the user.

The display briefly shows that the user has been deleted before returning to idle text (3 is used as an example).

The user text is not deleted when deleting a user. To modify a user’s text, refer to Add/Change User (CMD + 5 + 6) on page 48.

(3 is used as an example.)
