Fax Forwarding/Paging
You cannot use Paging and Fax Forwarding at the same time.
To use Paging or Fax Forwarding you must set Fax Storage to ON.
Programming a Fax Forwarding Number
When Fax Forwarding is set to ON, your MFC stores the received fax in memory. Then it dials the fax number you’ve programmed and forwards the fax message.
1 Press Menu, 2, 5, 1. | 1.FAX FWD/PAGING |
|
2Press or
until the LCD shows FAX FORWARD, and then press Set.
3The LCD prompts you to enter the number of the fax machine where faxes will be forwarded. Enter the forwarding number (up to 20 digits), and then press Set.
4Press Stop/Exit.
Programming Your Pager Number
When Paging is selected, your MFC dials the pager number you’ve programmed, and dials your Personal Identification Number (PIN); this activates your pager so you know you have a fax message in the memory.
1Press Menu, 2, 5, 1.
2Press or
until the LCD shows PAGING, and then press Set.
3Enter your pager phone number (up to 20 digits) followed by # #, and then press Set. Do not include the area code if it is the same as that of your MFC.
For example,
1 8 0 0 5 5 5 1 2 3 4 # #.
