SETTING UP

Battery performance

The charge capacity of rechargeable battery packs will reduce with time as they wear out, so reducing talk/standby time of the handset. Eventually they will need to be replaced. New battery packs (item code: 003267) can be obtained from the Helpline on 08706

058 047.

After charging your handset for the first time, subsequent charging time for the battery pack is approximately 6-8 hours a day. Battery pack and case may become warm during charging, this is normal.

Under ideal conditions, the handset battery pack should give about 12 hours talktime or 150 hours standby on a single charge. (This does not mean you can unplug the base station or leave it for this length of time without charge.)

Please note, however, that new NiCad battery packs do not reach full capacity until they have been in normal use for several days.
