
Changing the Focusing Mode
You can change the AF (autofocus) frame selection mode.
9 Point AiAF | Depending on the shooting conditions, an AF frame is |
(Auto selection) | automatically selected from the 9 frames and focused. |
Center point | Of 9 AF frames, the center one is selected to focus. This is |
| convenient for making sure the focus is exactly where you |
| want it. |
9 AF frames selection | Focuses the area within the AF frame selected from the 9 |
| frames. |
1.Set the camcorder to CAMERA• mode.
2.Set the mode dial to a mode other than .
•The setting differs depending on the position of the mode dial.

*Focusing method cannot be changed in the Fireworks mode (SCN).
3.Turn the SET dial to select the focusing mode.
•With [9 Point AiAF] a large frame displays on the screen. (The frame does not display in AUTO mode.)
•With [Center point] a frame displays in the center of the screen.
•With [9 AF frames selection]: 9 frames display on the screen. Turn the SET dial to select the AF frame from the 9 frames.
4.Press the PHOTO button halfway.
5.Press the PHOTO button fully.
You cannot select the AF frame during recording in Stitch Assist mode.
