TX (Transmission) Settings Menu

For details on accessing the settings below, 1 pp. 14-2, 14-3.

Setting	Description	Sub-Settings
ECM TX	Enables/disables Error Correction Mode (ECM) during	ON
	transmission.	OFF

MID PAUSE SET	Selects the length of the pause entered when you press	2 SEC
	R (Redial)/Pause.	(1 to 15)*

AUTO REDIAL	Enables/disables automatic redialling if the other party’s	ON
	line is busy on the first attempt. (1 p. 7-10)	OFF
REDIAL TIMES	Selects the number of redial attempts.	2 TIMES
		(1 to 2)**
REDIAL INTERVAL	Selects the period of time between redial attempts.	2 MIN.
		(1 to 99)***

TIME OUT	Enables/disables automatic scanning of documents	ON
	after the fax number is entered.	OFF
	ON: Scanning begins automatically five seconds after
	entering the fax number (10 seconds if sending to
	multiple destinations).
	OFF: Scanning does not start automatically. (You need
	to press Start to begin scanning.)

COLOUR DIRECT TX	Enables/disables sending of colour documents to fax	OFF
	machines that do not have colour faxing capability.	ON
	OFF: Colour documents cannot be sent to fax machines
	that do not support colour faxing.
	ON: Colour documents can be sent to fax machines that
	do not support colour faxing. (The document is
	converted to black & white.)

(Default settings are shown in bold type.)

*Hong Kong: 4 SEC (4 to 11).

**New Zealand: 1 to 5, Hong Kong: 1 to 3, Singapore: 1 to 10, Malaysia: 1 to 15.

***Singapore: 2 to 99.
