Installing the CF Card

Install the CF card (supplied) into the camera as follows.

CF card eject button

1 Check that the power is off (p. 29) and slide the CF card slot cover in the direction of the arrow.

2 Insert the CF card as shown in the illustration.

zPush the card in until the CF card eject button fully extends. To remove the CF card, push the CF card eject button and pull the card out.

3 Slide the CF card slot cover closed.

zWhen the indicator next to the viewfinder blinks green, the camera is writing, reading, erasing or transmitting an image to or from the card. Do not perform the following, or image data may be lost or corrupted:

•Do not shake the camera.

•Do not turn off the power or open the battery cover or CF card slot cover.

zYou are recommended to use CF cards that have been formatted in your camera (p. 141). The card supplied with the camera may be used without further formatting.
