Switching Temporarily to Tone Dialling

Many information services for banks, airline reservations, hotel reservations, etc., require tone dialling for their services. If your machine is connected to a rotary pulse line, follow this procedure to set the machine temporarily for tone dialling:

• The Function key will light up by pressing Function to be able to operate Tone/+.

1Press FAX to set to Fax Mode.

2Pick up the handset of your telephone.

3Enter a destination using the numeric keys on your telephone or using a one-touch speed dialling key, coded speed dialling codes, Redial/Pause key or the numeric keys on the machine.

4When the recorded message of the information service answers, press Tone/+ to switch to tone dialling.

When Tone/+ is pressed, T is displayed in the LCD.

If your telephone line uses tone dialling, go to the next step.

5Use the numeric keys on the machine to enter the numbers requested by the information service.

Numbers entered after pressing Tone/+ will be dialled using tone dialling.

After pressing Tone/+, you cannot use the numeric keys on the telephone. Use the numeric keys on the machine.

6If you want to receive faxes, press Start.

7Hang up to disconnect the call.

Tone dialling is cancelled when you disconnect the call.
