Problem: Controller failed the onboard memory test.
When this failure occurs, it means the internal CPU memory failed. Replace the
controller to correct the problem.
Problem: System hangs at Loading Bridge during BFLU Loader Menu.
Reflash the firmware to ensure you are using the latest version. See Upgrading
Firmware on page7-26. If you cannot update the firmware or if the updated firmware
does not correct the problem, replace the controller.
Problem: One of the POST diagnostic test failed.
Contact Chaparral technical support.
Problem: The system hangs at CT_srv starting.
Follow these steps to resolve the problem:
1Check the disk and host channels to make sure they are properly terminated.
2Verify that there are not any SCSI address conflicts.
3Check the enclosure to make sure everything is properly connected.
4If the enclosure and the drive work properly, replace the controller.
Problem: The system hangs during a drive scan.
Follow these steps to resolve the problem:
1Check the enclosure to make sure everything is properly connected.
2Remove and replace the drive that failed the scan.
3If the enclosure and the drive work properly, replace the controller.
Controller Problems
Problem: The controller’s STATUS LED does not turn on. (The controller’s
STATUS LED is on the controller board and is only visible if you open your
enclosure or if it is connected to a status LED on your enclosure.)
Check that 5V power is being applied to the controller. Check the RS-232 interface
for power-on initialization and for diagnostics errors. Check the Disk Array
Administrator for outstanding events.
