Site Preparation Checklist

DC-Powered Systems

Basic guidelines include the following:
•Each chassis power supply should have its own dedicated input power source.
•The circuit must be protected by a dedicated two-pole circuit breaker. The
circuit breaker should be sized according to the power supply input rating and
local or national code requirements.
•The circuit breaker is considered the disconnect device and shoul d be easily
accessible.
•The power supply ground should connect to protective earth ground even
though the system ground connection is provided.
•The DC return is to remain isolated from the system frame and chassis
(DC-I).

a successful switch installation.
