DLP-A527 Change the OC-N Card ALS Maintenance Settings

Purpose

This task changes the automatic laser shutdown (ALS) maintenance

 

settings for the OC-N cards. This feature is available for OC3-8, OC-192,

 

and MRC-12 cards.

Note For the default values and domains of user-provisionable card settings, refer to the “Network Element Defaults” appendix in the Cisco ONS 15454 Reference Manual.

Step 1 In node view, double-click the OC-N card where you want to change the ALS maintenance settings. Step 2 Click the Maintenance > ALS tabs.

Step 3 Modify any of the settings described in Table 22-5by clicking in the field you want to modify. In some fields you can choose an option from a drop-down list; in others you can type a value or select or deselect a check box. The provisionable parameters are listed in the options column in the table.

Step 4 Click Apply. If the change affects traffic, a warning message displays. Click Yes to complete the change.
