9.Slide the sprocket units so that the paper is straight and smooth, and then lock them into place.

Caution:

Be sure the sprocket units are not too far a part. If they pull your paper too tightly or tear the edges of the paper holes, a paper jam may result. To remove any excess tension in your paper, release the right sprocket unit and lock if again.

10.Adjust the top-of-form position as described in Chapter 2, if necessary.

11.Close the top cover. Press the LF/FF button to feed the paper out the back of the printer. Make sure the edge of the first sheet emerges below the paper separator.

Using the pull tractor with the rear tractor

If you are using labels or multi-part forms with more than four parts (including the original), do not use the rear tractor; use the front tractor as described in the previous section.
