International character sets

You can select one of the following international character sets with the DIP switches or by sending the ESC R command. For example, when you select “Italic France,” the characters in the “France” row on the table below are used in the italic character table.

The first eight international character sets can be selected with the DIP switches or with the ESC R command. The last five sets are available only when you send the ESC R command. The value of n is used for the ESC R command.

Character tables in the IBM emulation mode

This section lists the character tables available in the IBM emulation mode. The IBM emulation mode can be selected with the DIP switches.

These character tables can be selected with the DIP switches, or by using the ESC 6 (table 2) or ESC 7 (table 1) software command.

The PC865 table is the same as the PC 437 table for hex codes 00 through 7F, so only the characters for hex codes 80 through FF are shown.
