Optional interface cards

A number of optional interface cards can be used to supplement the built-in parallel and serial interfaces. Two of the cards (Coax and Twinax) let you use your printer as a local printer for your IBM mainframe or minicomputer. These cards connect directly to the printer and allow it to function as a local IBM printer without the addition of any other circuitry or components. Guidelines for choosing the right interface and instructions for installing an interface card are given in Chapter 4.
