Installing FinePixViewer: Macintosh

1Confirm that the computer meets the following system requirements:

CPU PowerPC or Intel

OS

Pre-installed versions of Mac OS X version 10.3.9–10.4.11 (as of February 1, 2008; visit http://www.fujifilm.com for more information)

RAM 256 MB or more

Free disk space A minimum of 200 MB required for installation with 400 MB available when FinePixViewer is running

Video 800 × 600 pixels or more with thousands of colors or better

 

• Built-in USB port recommended. Operation is not guaranteed other USB ports.

Other

• Internet connection (56 kbps or faster recommended) required to use FinePix Internet Service; Internet

connection and e-mail software required to use e-mail option

 

 

• QuickTime 7.0 or later required to view MPEG-4 movies

After starting the computer and quitting any applications that may be running, insert the installer CD in a CD-ROM drive. Double-click the FinePix CD icon on the desktop and double-click Installer for Mac OS X.

An installer dialog will be displayed; click Installing FinePixViewer to start installation. Enter an administrator name and password when prompted and click OK, then follow the on-screen instructions to install FinePixViewer. If prompted to install QuickTime, follow the on-screen instructions. Click Exit to quit the installer when installation is complete.
