Choose the size and quality at which still pictures are recorded. Large pictures can be printed at large sizes with no drop in quality; small pictures require less memory, allowing more pictures to be recorded.

Aspect Ratio

Pictures taken at an image quality setting of 13:2 have an aspect ratio of 3 : 2, the same as a frame of 35-mm fi lm. Pictures taken at 316:9 and 516:9 have an aspect ratio of 16 : 9, suited to display on High Defi nition (HD) devices. Pictures taken at other settings have an aspect ratio of 4 : 3.
