EachPSP consists of the following elements:
lAz iparchive containingthe drivers orsoftw areproducts as wellas the
filesrequired to install the PSP
lReleasenotes (relnotes.txt)
lAPS P descriptionfile (xml file)
PSP descriptionfile (xml fil e)
Thedescription file contains the followinginformation:
lNameof the PSP
lDetailsof theversion and contents of the PSP
lInformationon the installationpriority of the PSP
lDescriptionof all packages containedi n theP SP
Foreach packagec ontainedin the PSP, information is providedon the
versionand on hardwareands oftwaredependencies, e.g. the chassis
ID, system boardID, PCI I D, firmwareor operatingsystem version.
Basedon the informationcontained in the descriptionfile, theupdate tool can
checkon the manageds erverwhether the requirementsof the hardwareand
softwaredependenciesare fulfilled.
