Parameter Description
-C(Cleanup) Checks whetherall update jobs aref inished.If so,t he
updatejobs aredeleted.
-A(Cancel) Deletesunfinished updatejobs
-H(Help) Displays the commandsyntax
If themanageds erveris protectedby access c ontrol,you must specify the
parameters-L and-P when you use the CLI. These parametersare only
usedfor the StartFlash,Cleanup and Cancel commands,w hich
changethe status.
TheCLI writes detailedresults to a results file so that you can reproducean
updateprocedure.If the parameterfor the results file is missingwhen the
commandis called, the default logfile.txt file is used.
Inaddition, you receive returnvalues to help you programcomplete update
cycles for various results.
7.1.1 Call Parameters-S (StartFlashcommand)
Startsupdate with version check
Thisoption only updates system components for which a newerv ersionis
found.
-O (StartFlashcommand)
Startsupdate without version check.
Inthis caseall sys tem componentsare updatedwith t helatest ver-
sionof the specified repository, without performinga version
check, i.e. even if versions are equalor the installed versionis
newer(leadingto a downgrade).This parameteris thereforerisky!
It shouldonly be used by persons who havedetailed knowledgeof
thespecified repository andof t hedependenciesbetween the
installedversions (for example,quality t est and supportemploy-
ees).
