Description
Whenthe -S parameteris used, StartFlash reads the inventory of the
PRIMERGY server andcompares all componentsw ith the versions in the
specifiedrepository. An updateis onlyinitiated for a componentif anewer
versionis found int herepository. A downgradeis notpossible with this
parameter.
Whenthe -O parameteris used, thereis no version check, that is, allc om-
ponentsareupdated with the latest version found in the specified repository.
Parameter-O is risky! This parameter shouldonly be used by persons
whohave detailed knowledgeof the repository usedand of the depend-
enciesbetween theinst alledversions. If, for example,a version of a
componentin the repositoryis older than the installed version,t he
installedversion is downgradedin this case.
Thecommand endsas soonas all steps to s tart the updateare completed.
Thecommand doesnot wait forthe update procedureto be completed.
Thecommand terminateswit h a SequenceError if a previousupdate pro-
cedurehas notyet been completedwith the Cleanup commandor cancelled
witht heCancel c ommand.In this case,update jobs still exist thathave one
ofthe job status s pecifiedabove.
