7.1.9 CLI Standalone
Thereis a seperateproduct" UpdateManagerCLI" thatis deliberately meant
forenvironments wherethere is no ServerView OperationsManager.
Butbecause there is no SVOM thereis onemajor restriction, whenrunning
underLinuxand intendingt o updatea managementblade or connection
blade:
As documentedin descriptionof thecall parameters(Yoption) the Inventory
ofthe managementblade or connectionblade must exist as afile (Ver-
sionView.sav)and has to be passed via the Yoption.
Buts incet hereis no SVOM there is no Inventory-Service runningand thus
noInventory file is built on the sys tem.
Thuswithout providing the Inventoryfi le via othermeans it is notpossible to
updatethe managementblade/ connectionbladeunderLinux.
