The following table shows the items you can set and their default settings.

Use the table as a reference for efficient operation.

Language setting	Disc Menu Language			English		Sets the disc menu language.

	Subtitle Language			OFF		Sets the subtitle language.
Display setting	FL Dimmer			Bright		Sets the front display

	Screen Saver			10 minutes		Sets the idling time before the screen
						saver starts.
Audio Setting	Digital Out		PCM	48 kHz		Sets whether sound recorded
pages 59-60						at 96 kHz is down sampled to
						48 kHz or not.
			Dolby Digital	Stream		Sets the digital audio output
						signal specification.
			MPEG	PCM		Sets the digital audio output
						signal specification.
			DTS	OFF		Sets whether DTS signal is
						output or not.
	Dynamic Range Control			ON		Compresses the sound volume
						range.
	Fast Forward with Audio			OFF		Outputs sound during fast
						forward play back.
Parental setting	Parental Lock			All		Sets the DVD parental control level.

Note

•Changes you make to the Setting menu remain even after power to the unit is switched off or the disc tray is opened or closed.

•[SETUP] will not function when the unit is turned on by pressing [STANDBY-ON]during either the DVD or VCR timer-standby mode.
