Replacing a redundant power supply module
If one of the two power supply modules fails, the other module can support the system while the failed module is replaced. An audible alarm indicates a failed module, and the corresponding power supply status LED will begin to flash. See “Front panel” on page 2 for the location and complete information on the function of the power supply status LEDs. You do not have to turn off the system to replace the failed module.
To replace a failed power supply module:
1Determine which power supply module has failed. The module power LED (on the back of the power supply modules) turns off when the module fails.
2Loosen the thumbscrew that secures the power supply module to the back panel.
