Set the controlsthe same as for
normal starting (see pages
). Use thechoke control if
needed.
Set theknotted end of the
emergencystarter rope in the notch
in the flywheel pulley. Wind the
rope clockwisearound the
flywheel pulley, as shown.
If the recoil starter is not working
properly,you can start the engine
manuallyusing the emergency starter
rope supplied with the tool kit.
Removethe engine cover.
Removethe three 5 mm nuts with
an 8 mmwrench and remove the
recoil starter.
