Lifting the outboard motor by the
enginecover, or using the
installed outboard motoras a
handle or lever to move the boat,
can damage the outboard motor.
If there is insufficient road clearance
in the normal running position, then
tilt the outboard motor and use a
motor supportbar, or remove the
outboard motorf rom the boat. Refer
to the manufacturer’sinstructions f or
using a motorsupport bar.
When trailering a boat with the
outboard motor attached, leave the
engine in the normal running position,
if possible, and tighten the steering
friction bolt securely (p. ).
Removethe outboard motor f rom the
boat and securethe outboard motor
in either the vertical or horizontal
position shown on p. .
To carry,hold the outboard motor by
the carryinghandle, as shown.
