Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.Remove the following components:
a.Service cover (see Service cover on page 48)
b.Battery (see Battery on page 50)
c.Fan (see Fan on page 77)
d.Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 62)
e.Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 71)
Remove the card reader board:
1.Disconnect the larger card reader cable (1) and the smaller touchpad cable (2) from the the card reader board.
2.Using a thin tool, pry up the left side of the board to disengage it from the top cover (3).
