Notifications

Your Pocket PC Phone reminds you in a variety of ways when you have something to do or when you have received an SMS message. For example, if you’ve set up an appointment in Calendar, a task with a due date in Tasks, or an alarm in Clock, you will be notified in any of the following ways:

nA message box appears on the screen.

nA sound, which you can specify, is played.

nA light flashes on your Pocket PC.

nThe Pocket PC Phone vibrates.

To choose reminder types and sounds for your device, the Start menu > Settings > the Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications. The options you choose here apply throughout the Pocket PC.

Pop-Up menus

Use pop-up menus to quickly perform an action on an item. To access a pop-up menu, tap and hold the item that you want to perform the action on. When the menu appears, tap the action you want to perform, or tap anywhere outside the menu to close it without performing an action.

1.Tap and hold to display the pop-up menu.

2.Lift the stylus and tap the action you want.

3.Tap outside the menu to close it without performing an action.
