INSTALLING/ADJUSTING QUAD-RELEASE AXLES

INSTALLING (FIGURE 3)

1.Remove rear wheel and the existing quick-release axle from the chair.

2.Depress detent pin in the quick-release axle and slide the quick-release axle through the wheel hub.

3.Insert NEW quad-release axle through the rear wheel.

4.Turn the rear wheel over and slide the locking collar onto the quad-release axle and tighten securely.

5.Reinstall rear wheel and quad-release axle onto chair.

6.Flip the handle of the quad-release axle down to release the detent pin ensuring that the locking pins are fully released.

WARNING

Make sure detent pin and locking pins of the quick-release axles are fully re- leased BEFORE operating the wheelchair.

Keep locking pins clean.

7.If any adjustments are needed, refer to ADJUSTING THE QUAD-RELEASE AXLE in this procedure of the manual.
