2zanahorias medianas, picado fino

4cucharadas (60 ml) de hojas de perejil frescas cortadas, fraccionadas

2cucharaditas

(10 ml) de tomillo seco, fraccionadas

13/4 cucharaditas (8 ml) de mejorana seca, fraccionada

1 hoja de laurel

4dientes de ajo, picados

11/2 tazas (375 ml) de vino borgoña, fraccionado

5rebanadas de tocino, cortadas en pedacitos

12onzas (340 g) de hongos, cortados en cuatro

2/3 taza (150 ml) de consomé de carne de res condensado (de latas de 10 onzas /285 g), fraccionado

2cucharadas (30 ml) de puré de tomates (de lata de 6 onzas /175 g)

3/4 cucharadita (3 ml) de sal

1/2 cucharadita (2 ml) de pimienta negra, molido grueso

1/4 taza (50 ml) de harina

En una bolsa plástica para alimentos o en un recipiente grande, mezclar la carne de res, las cebollas, las zanahorias, 2 cucharadas (30 ml) de perejil,

11/4 cucharadita (7 ml) de tomillo, 1 cucharadita

(5 ml) de mejorana, la hoja de laurel y ajo. Mezclar bien. Agregar 3/4 taza (185 ml) de vino. Mezclar bien para cubrir. Refrigerar al menos 8 horas o toda la noche.

Coloque la mezcla de la carne de res en el recipiente de cerámica de la olla lenta. En una sartén mediana a fuego medio, cocine el tocino hasta que esté crocante. Agregue el tocino y la grasa que suelta a la olla lenta. Agregue la

Retire y quite la hoja de laurel. En un recipiente pequeño, mezclar la harina con el 1/3 de taza (75 ml) de consomé restante. Verter a la mezcla de la carne. Tapar y cocinar en ALTA (HIGH) de 10 a 15 minutos o hasta que se espese. Mezclar las 2 cucharadas restantes (30 ml) de perejil. Servir con fideos o puré de papas, si lo desea.
