Damper pedal settings for Layer and Split

You can specify whether the damper pedal effect will apply to one or both sounds when you use the Layer or Split functions.

1	Press the [FUNCTION] switch
2	Access the “Func 3/10” page
	Press the [PAGE ®] switch twice to

access the “Func 3/10” page.

3	Make the desired settings
	If you select off the “Upp1” check box,
	the damper will not apply to Upper 1.
	If you select off the “Low/Upp2” check
	box, the damper will not apply to Upper
	2 or Lower.
	If you change rhythm styles, this will change
	to the setting that is stored in the newly-
	selected rhythm style. (☞ p.46)

Specifying the function of the assignable switch

A variety of functions can be assigned to a pedal connected to the Assignable Switch jack.

With the factory settings, this is set to “Soft.”

2	Access the “Func 3/10” page
	Press the [PAGE ®] switch twice to

access the “Func 3/10” page.

3	Change the “Assignable Switch”
	setting
	Use the dial or the [VALUE] switches to
	select the function that you want to con-
	trol from the pedal connected to the
	Assignable Switch jack.
Soft		The soft pedal of a piano
Start/Stop		[STRAT/STOP] or [PLAY/STOP]
Sync Start		Same function as the [SYNCHRO START/
		STOP] switches
Acc Reset		Same function as the [ACC RESET]
		switches
Intro/Ending1		Same function as the [INTRO/ENDING 1]
		switches
Intro/Ending2		Same function as the [INTRO/ENDING 2]
		switches
Fill1		Same function as the [FILL 1] switches
Fill2		Same function as the [FILL 2] switches
Variation 1		Select “1” for the “Variation” Cell
Variation 2		Select “2” for the “Variation” Cell
Variation 3		Select “3” for the “Variation” Cell
Variation 4		Select “4” for the “Variation” Cell
Bass Inversion		Turn the “Bass Inv.” cell on/off
Scale Change		Switch between “Main Scale” and “Sub

Variation Up		Select next variation
Variation Down		Select previous variation
Reverb On/Off		[REVERB] switch, on/off
Effect On/Off		[CHORUS etc.] switch, on/off
Drum Mute		Mute Drum part of automatic accompani-
		ment (☞ p.40)
Perc. Mute		Mute Perc. part of automatic accompani-
		ment (☞ p.40)
Bass Mute		Mute Bass part of automatic accompani-
		ment (☞ p.40)
Acc1 Mute		Mute Acc1 part of automatic accompani-
		ment (☞ p.40)
Acc2 Mute		Mute Acc2 part of automatic accompani-

Acc3 Mute		Mute Acc3 part of automatic accompani-

Tap Tempo		Same function as the [TAP TEMPO]
		switches
Ensemble		Same function as the [ENSEMBLE]
		switches
Quarter Tone		Used in middle-eastern music. The pitch
		will be adjusted by +50 cents for notes
		played while the pedal is on (or adjusted by
		–50 cents if the pedal is pressed twice).
		Press the pedal once again to cancel.
