For autofocus mode, the adjustment dial (9) is turned complete- ly to the right (i.e. clockwise) until it engages in the AF position. If the main subject is supposed to be in the center of your picture, point the frame in the center of the viewfinder at the part of the subject you want to be in focus, so that it fills the frame as far as possible. Lightly pressing (to the pressure point) the shutter re- lease button (8) the takes the measurement and the lens is set accordingly.
