Playback Modes

Table” on page 4-10 indicates the search modes available for each disc format.

Note:

The search bar automatically closes a few seconds after the last command is received. When this occurs, search mode is automatically deactivated.

3.When the desired search mode is selected, press the remote control number buttons to enter a search value. It is not neces- sary to press the +10 button to enter values 10 and above. For example:

To enter Title 6, press the number 6 button.

To enter Track 16, press the number 1 button, then the number 6 button.

To enter a playback time of 16 minutes and 16 seconds, press the number 1 button, the number 6 button, the number 1 button, then the number 6 button.

To delete an incorrect search value, press the remote con- trol CLEAR button.

To deactivate search mode, press the SEARCH button until the search bar closes.

4.When the desired search value is entered, press the PLAY button or the remote control ENTER button to activate playback at the selected playback time.

If a valid search value is entered, playback activates at the selected title, chapter, group, track, folder, playback time, or browsable picture.

If an invalid search value is entered, the search bar closes without activating playback.

PAGE MODE

Many DVD-As contain images or pages that you can scroll through using your remote control. Use the remote control PAGE button to activate DVD-A page mode, which displays which image or page is currently on-screen (during playback).

To activate page mode when a DVD-A is playing:

1.Load a DVD-A disc.

2.Press the remote control PAGE button.

A Page bar like the one shown below will open at the top of the on-screen display to indicate that page mode is activated. Use

the remote control and

buttons to scroll left or right.

The Page bar indicates the number of the selected image and the number of images contained on the disc. For instance, the Page bar shown below indicates that image 1 of 15 is on-screen.
