Menu item	Description
Login Restriction	Limits the number and time frames of failed login attempts from the printer control
Login failures	panel before all users are locked out
1-10 (3 attempts)	Notes:
Failure time frame	• “Login failures” specifies the number of failed login attempts before users are
1-60 (5 minutes)

Lockout time

	the Web page) can remain idle before automatically logging the user off. 10
	minutes is the factory default setting.

Confidential Print menu

Menu item	Description
Max Invalid PIN	Limits the number of times an invalid PIN can be entered
Off	Notes:
2–10
	• Off is the default setting.
	• This menu item appears only if a printer hard disk is installed.
	• Once a limit is reached, the jobs for that user name and that PIN are deleted.
Job Expiration	Limits the amount of time a confidential job stays in the printer before it is deleted
Off	Notes:
1 hour
	• Off is the default setting.
4 hours
	• If the Job Expiration setting is changed while confidential jobs reside on the
24 hours
1 week	printer RAM or printer hard disk, the expiration time for those print jobs does
	not change to the new default value.
	• If the printer is turned off, all confidential jobs held in printer RAM are
	deleted.
